Stockholm, Apr. 17.
German troops advancing from Trondheim are reported to have reached the Swedish frontier station Storlien.
The newspaper "Tidningen" says the British landing at Narvik compelled the Germans to retreat towards the frontier, and en route 250 Norwegians came into contact with 1,000 Germans. After a sharp fight the Germans occupied Bjornfells, and 200 Norwegian survivors retreated into Sweden, The "Dagens Nyheter" says the Germans now control the railway from Narvik to the frontier, and still hold one section of Narvik, while British warships lie in the harbour. The newspaper further states that British forces landed at Harstad. north of Narvik. There is no official confirmation here of these reports.
