The United States has already sent ihe first shipment of war supplies to the Soviet Union, thus fulfilling its pledge of immediate assistance against Germany, authoritative quarters revealed last night.
"The first shipment included armaments and industrial machinery. The machinery was ordered prior to the outbreak of the Russo-German war, these sources said.
It was assumed here that the shipment was proceeding to Russia via the Pacific despite veiled Japanese threats to interfere with such shipments,
