Some very exciting lawn bowls were witnessed on the greens of the Hongkew Golf Club when the home team just dropped a 54-56 match to the SL.BC, "Reds." All three rinks resulted in ding-dong struggles with the widest victory being by three shots, 17:14; this triumph was scored by J., Munro's four for the "Reds."
A. M. Gutierrez's quartette, however; retaliated for the H.G.C. when they ousted W, A. Turnbull's rink by 19-18. The remaining rink saw the opposing players battle to a 21-21 deadlock, C. A. Pereira and W. J. Monk being the respective skips.
