Tuesday's Closing Quotations

New York, Sept. 24.

Cotton prices early ruled irregular, as heavy hedging was met by a good mill demand. Later, the market firmed up on commission houses and Wall Street buying, coupled with the tightness of the "spot" situation. Closing quotations ranged from 3 to 5 points up from previous final levels.

Quietly firm conditions were w. nessed in the market for raw rubber futures as shorts covered and spe-curators bought on the belief that the Indo-China situation might affect the regularity of shipments from the Far East. At the last call-over, gains from 7 to 15 points were recorded.

The Chicago Wheat Pit ruled easier today. Owing to general selling, 1 quidation and profit taking, influenced by the easiness of securities. At the final bell, losses from % to % of a cent were recorded.
