Invasion Danger

Nazi Planes Carried Guns To Holland; Precautions Being Rushed

London, May 31.

"There may yet be some devilish surprise in store for us," said Sir Neville Bland; British. Minister to Holland, in a broadcast last night urging that "more and more" steps should be taken to guard against danger from the German fifth column and troop-carrying planes.

Sir Neville described the last-named as a far greater danger than parachute ists or fifth columnists.

He said German troop"arrying planes landed thousands of men and howitzers in Holland. If the Netherlands authorities had not taken very thorough precautions, thousands more would have been easily landed on their arterial roads, and the campaign would have been finished in 24 hours.

Sir Neville Bland said he-did not want to be alarmist, and there was no need for panic, but more and more steps must be taken to provide against this danger.

There were countless places in\England, he added, where men and guns could be landed.—Reuter.
