Playing without the services of Favacho and V. Sousa, who took part in the Charity game, the Portuguese team bowed in defeat to Three Stars in an exhibition game at the Aurora University ground yesterday afternoon. The final score of 3-2 in favour of Three Stars was flattering to the Chinese, considering that they fielded a strong team, with many players from other teams.
The Chinese forged early ahead and at one time were leading by two clear goals, both of them scored by Chang. M. Gaan decreased the score to 2-1 shortly before half-time. The Portuguese levelled the count in the second half through I. Remedios, but towards the end of the game Chen gave his side the lead, which they never relinquished.
