Sm—I quite agree with Subscriber's" view as also that of your leader in yesterday's issue, and am surprised that a matter of this ture, which affects most of the Protestant community, should apparently cause so little concern to them.
I am an ordinary working man, but, nevertheless an ardent supporter of our Church, and am sure that if a committee of men of good financial standing got together, they would not have much difficulty in A subscriptions from the public for the total $900,000 or at least the greater part of same. For my own part, 1 ar quite prepared to contribute $2,000 immediately. I know when the list is started, and 1 sincerely hope mat this will be an impetus to very many others to follow with equal or larger sums.
