Nineteen foreign nationals have so far been arrested by the police authorities of the Kwantung Government-General in three raids conducted since July 3, the arrests being ior hearing short wave broadcasts from Moscow, Khabarovsk and New York, among' other cities, it was learned here today.
The arrests were carried out in cooperation with the Communicati Department of the Dairen Gendai merie by the foreign affairs section of the Police Department of the Kwantung Government-General. The foreign nationals were severely punished and their short wave wireless sets were removed.
The Kwantung police authorities will henceforth exercise greater control over the operation of short wave wireless sets as a measure against espionage.—Domel.
