The view that it was only a matter of time before a defence link existed between the United States and the British Dominions in the southern Pacific, was expressed today by members of an American press delegation now iting Canberra.
"Mr. Roy Wilson Howard, head of the Scripps-Howard chain of newspapers, said establishment of a Joint United—States-Canadian Defence Board received popular response throughout America, and extension of the policy to the Pacific would be a natural development.—Reuter.
