North Japan

Train and Ferry Schedules

Disorganized Tokyo, Dec. 6.

Snowfall in Aomori Prefecture on Monday morning broke a 50-year record as drifts piled up to a depth of three feet.

A blizzard raging through northern Japan delayed ferry boats coming to Aomori City from Hakodate in the Hokkaido. All trains connecting with the Hokkaido ferries also were delayed more than an hour.

Train and boat schedules in the north were seriously upset by heavy snowfall.—Domei.
