Ten Days Exercises in Capital Begun Tokyo, Sept. 1.
Announcing the beginning of ten-day air-raid drills, sirens were sounded and whistles blown throughout the Tokyo area at 6 p.m. today. Members of the specific defence corps, household defence corps and citizens' organizations will take part in the ex-excise.
Special gir defence manceuvres, in which civilians will take part, will be held throughout Japan beginning on October 1 and last five days.
