New Air Battle Reported

Casualties on the Glitrefjell were seven injured and five drowned. On the Jytte two persons were landed and ten were missing. Eighteen survivors of the City of Kobe were landed safely. Three were killed oz the Etruria and one was injured. One person was missing from the Active. All the other members of the crew were rescued.

Meanwhile, from Copenhagen, came the report that a new air battle was in progress over a German naval air base in the area of the north-western German coast. Apparently the Royal Air Force was attempting to attack the naval base on the Island of Sylt.

Neither Britain or Germany, however, announced any important action in that area; although a German Heinkel bomber was reported flying over the north Shetland Islands. An RAF, plane took off to search for the raider without success. No air raid alarm was sounded in the area.
