Madrid, Sept. 11.
Violént storms struck the provinces of Aragon, Castellon, Catalonia and Navarre yesterday, with high winds, heavy rains and even sharp hail bursts causing damage to towns and villages in the affected region.
Several streets in Valladolid were flooded, while at Avila, hail severely damaged grain fields and orchards. The Madrid-Barcelona railway line was cut between Saragossa and Calatayud, where flood waters carried off a section of the tracks.
The temperature in the whole of the storm area swiftly dropped to a low degree, and it was cooler in the whole of Spain in general yesterday as a result.—Havas.
