Village Blown

The Italians are reported to have sustained especially heavy casualties when they entered the village of Sidi Barrani, which had been heavily mined with controlled mines, When they had invested the village, the British pulled the control switch. According to an eyewitness, the entire village, full of enemy troops, appeared to be blown into the air by the explosion, The advancing Italians, in the meantime, have to face a harrying fire by British armoured units, which are making good use of their knowledge of every inch of terrain which the Italians have to cover.
