Ways to Restore Peace Discussed

"Washington, Dec, 28.

President Roosevelt conferred at some length yesterday with Dr. George A. Butterick, President the Federal Council of Churches of Christ in America, and Rabbi Cyrus Adler, President of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, on ways to restore world peace.

Following the conference, Dr. But-trick and Rabbi Adler said they will remain "on call for further conferences", but no peace moves appeared in prospect at present. Dr. Butterick said they had discussed all issues "oh. viously involved".

Rabbi Adler declared, "We were all in agreement," which was interpreted as a reply to some church quarters' criticism of the President's designation of a personal representative at the Vatican.—United Press.
