Neutrals arriving in Bucharest from Moscow state that the Soviets are starting an intensified campaign against the danger of a possible German attack, and anti-German propaganda is being circulated.
Soviet deliveries of supplies to Germany have diminished and the trade treaty has not been carried out to the full. Nevertheless, it is not to be expected that a conflict is likely to commence at present. The general opinion prevails in Bucharest that the Germans will avoid a break with the Soviet and will try to postpone a lo conflict until spring.
awhile the repatriation of numerous Germans from Bessarabia is causing constant friction between the German repatriation commission and the Soviet local authorities, states a reliable source. The Soviet authorities in the ex-Rumanian territories of Bukovina and Bessarabia have been clearing the territories of "politically undesirable elements," this source adds. All the former members of the Iron Guard have been arrested and deported into Russia.
