Japanese ratepayers will not attend the Special Meeting of Ratepayers which will reassemble at the Shanghai Race Club on Wednesday to vote on the proposed 40 per cent. increase in SMC. taxes and license fees, it was formally decided at the general meeting of the Japanese Ratepayers' Association held at the Nippon Club yesterday afternoon.
Holding that the Japanese views th e increase in municipal taxes and fees were fully advising the non-attendance of Japanese ratepayers at the forthcoming assembly.
