To the Editor of the "Nowr-Emma Dany News"
sm—May we ask the hospitality j of your columns for a brief though prominent announcement regarding a change we are making in the booking arrangement at our first run theatres, the Cathay, Grand, Nanking and Metropol, ahd an explanation of our reasons for this change.
Frequently, the theatre finds that it has a large number of -unclaimed reservations on hand to be disposed of in the brief period of five minutes allowed between the latest time of taking up reservations and the commencement of the performance.
The existing arrangement it will be seen is manifestly unfair to those of our patrons who call at the theatre in ant ple time to purchase tickets, and although there are reservations which certainly will not be taken up, finds there no seats for sale, The patron is therefore left with the alternative of leaving the theatre disappointed or forming a part of the long queue to wait for the sale of unclaimed reservations.
It has been decided therefore in "NORTH-CHINA DAILY NEWS"
