French informed sources said today they believed the Tokyo negotiations of ihe Thailand-Indo-China border dispute were almost certainly doomed to failure as a result of what the French described as the "unreasonable stand" of Thailand and Japan.
Indo-China might expect hostilities Thailand. on y. with more than one power, informed sources said. They pointed out. however, the nearness, of Singapore and China, should Japan go further than to support Thailand diplomatically.
Meanwhile, all Japanese residents of Cambodia arrived at Saigon this morning as a result of an evacuation order by the Japanese Consul-General there.
Japanese residents at Saigon meanwhile were ordered to remain ready to evacuate to Hanoi on very short notice.—United Press. B
