President Roosevelt Must Decide Soon

Washington observers believe President Roosevelt cannot. hold. off much longer his decision and public avowal on whether or not he will run for his third term as President. Presidential booms have been made for many of his closest associates but each have openly declared their resolve to stand down if the President runs again.

Here are shown three of his most recent appointees under the New Deal, from left to right, the new Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Mr. Frank Murphy; the new Attorney General, Mr. Robert Jackson, and the new Solicitor General, Mr. Francis Biddle, Mr. Paul McNutt, whom the President also appointed at the time to the new post of Federal Security Administrator, though not in this picture, seems today to be the New Deal's "favourite son."
