To the Editor of the "Nonru-Cuisa Datty News." n,—Referring to the two letters which appeared in your recent issues, it may perhaps interest Jyour correspondents to know that the idea is not exactly a new one in Shanghai as ® cooperative society has been in existence here for about three years.
It cannot, however, be said to have been & successful venture og it is at present being wound up, and probably the majority of its shareholders as well as its creditors have cause to regret having had anything to do with it.
The writer would like to suggest that your correspondents approach the directors of the society who no doubt will be pleased to give them some useful information regarding the future prospects of cooperation in Shanghai.
