FACCORDING to the monthly returns issued by the Chinese Maritime Customs covering the foreign trade of this country, net imports during November, 1940, totalled G. U. 53,928,007 (G. U.=40%4 pence sterling for November); net exports were $157,290,163. January-November figures were G. U, 684,442,054 and $1,780,082,546, as against G. U, 506,259,531 and $905,118,659 respectively in 1939.
