Extradition: Nine applications for sanding. over, involving 13 persons, were made by the extra-Settlement authorities during the month. Prima facie were proved against them 1_and they were handed over, Cases Pending: On July 31, there ere pending in the High Court and, District Court 65 cases, vhich, to ether with 204 cases on appeal, make a total of 269 cases pending. In ad-aition to the above, there were four cases pending in which the accused were detained on writs of detention.
