Club Defeat French Forces

In Final Game of Season

Spirited Club Forwards Dominated Fine Encounter; R.U. Reynolds Presented with Bronze Plaque LISTLESS French Forces XV proved no match at the Race Course yesterday afternoon for a spirited Club Ist side and after their recent run of successes went away in the final game of the season well beaten by fourteen points (one goal and three tries) to six (two tries).

The Club scored within two minutes of the start and from that point on never looked back whereas the French were always the inferior fifteen.

The bustling smashing tactics that the French have utilized this season with such success were most conspicuous yesterday by their complete absence and rarely did the spectators see the visiting forwards charging down the field with the ball at their feet as they have so often in the past.
