London, Mar. 24.
An immediate ending of the war with Germany was demanded in a resolution approved by the Essex district of the Council of the National Union of Railwaymen yesterday.
The resolution stated that the Council "strongly condemns this war as imperialist and contrary to the interests of all workers. We demand the immediate cessation of hostilities and a conference of all nations to determine and settle economic requirements of nations by a fair distribution of raw materials.
"We demand a plebiscite of minorities to determine their independence or attachment to the country in which they live and that all assistance to the White Guards and Fascist rulers of Finland shall stop.
"We demand the ending of the political truce and we instruct our leaders to get on with the struggle ior Socialism, which alone can bring lasting peace and prosperity to the world, and to fight for the freedom of all colonial peoples."
