(Has Shown Good Form

White Night has shown good form in his schooling over the sticks and as I cannot see anything to equal him on the flat I think he should win the Jorrocks although he is essentially a short-distance pony. With a good rider Malenki should finish among the first. three while' Safety First, who adapted himself to the steeplechase course very well, may be worth a modest place wager.

The "Z" Class Champions appears to be a toss-up between Aeolus and Ah Bey. For preference I take the former, If Lemberg should be ridden by a hard riding jockey he should fill the remaining berth. I do not fancy Hung Mah.

The Chehalis Handicap "B" class is the sixth race and as there has been no racing for the last six weeks tipping particularly difficult today. However, I do not think I can be far off in selecting Pivot Boy to win this Race as he likes the distance (three-quarters of a mile). His most danger. ous rivals appear to be El Chico and Duntai, If Brown Bomber should elect to start here he should be placed. The "A" section of the handicap may fall to Blue Boy, who may be followed past the winning post by Happy Challenger and National Pride.

Northwood Fancied in 8th Race The eighth race may see the favourite, Northwood, get off to a season's start by winning this race from Night Express and Cordon Roüge. Apart from Ashridge I do not think the other entrants stand a chance against these first-raters al~ though the handicapper has given them liberal allowances. I do not think it is necessary to look any further than Goldie for the winner of the Silver Spur Handicap "B" class. For places Ideal King and Telegram are The last race may see Brown Bomber triumph over a rather com-mien field to win. Goldenray and Cyclone Bill may provide strong competition while the rogue Dazara should be in the picture.
