Officers Elected

The President reminded members of the rule that the Executive Council had to be elected by the members and that the Council then appointed its own officers, He also drew attention to the practice of electing the Council en bloc whereupon he proposed the following persons as the Executive Council for the ensuing year:—Mrs, A. M. Oliveira, Miss L. Remedios. Mrs. F. Sequeira. Mrs. C. Leitao, Mr. J. E. Blaikie, Mr. R. J.

E. Price. Mr. J. W. C. Mummery, Mr. T. F. Mullahey.

The President pointed out that for continuity it was desirable to have Certain members continuing to serve though the list showed a number of changes. Mr. A. J. da'Costa asked if it was not usual for more than ten names to be proposed. The President agreed to consider adding to the list if anyone desired to propose someone else. Mr. da Costa then proposed Dr. Diniz who said he was agreeable to act if required.

It was then pointed out that as eleven names were before the meeting a ballot would be required.

Dr. Diniz then proposed that the list presented by the President be elected as the Executive Council of the Federation for the ensuing year. this resolution was seconded by Mrs. Colter and passed.
