"In this they have been helped considerably by the Royal Air Force, for this Service demands the highest standard and in satisfying the requirements of the Royal Air Force they have satisfied themselves,"
Mr, Henderson said recent reports showed that nearly 300 ex-trainees were now serving the Royal Air Force, that more than double that number were undergoing a special 12 months course as fitters and mechanics, and that the trade schools will supply some hundreds yearly for the duration of the war, Recent entrants to the schools have found the scope of instruction widened to include rigging and armour ers' work.
"In order that students may feel the importance of the work for which they are training, the Royal Air Force has arranged to issue uniforms to students after the completion of six months-in the schools," said Mr. Henderson, "The uniform will be standard Royal Air Force kit, with the addition of a white facing to the caps, and in making this issue the Royal Air Force feels confident that the prestige of the service will be fully maintained by students privileged to wear the uniform, "The enthusiasm, interest and ability of the students, combined with the unstinted efforts of the instructors, has resulted in a standard of workmanship surpassing all expectations,"
