New York, Sept. 7.
Cotton prices closed weak today on increased -selling pressure and hedge offerings, while spot houses and southern interests were also on the selling side. Demand was small at the lower level. Closing quotations ranged from 12 to 15 points down from the previous final levels.
Dull and featureless conditions prevailed in the Chicego Wheat Pit, with quotations finishing a shade higher on trade buying and shorts covering. At the final bell, quotations were unchanged to cent up.
