A remarkable tribute to the American navy is printed in a recent issue of the popular Tokyo "Yomiuri," troy the Japanese navy in the Pacific and the German and Italian navies inthe Atlantic when the United States has completed its two-ocean navy five years hence. It will be possible only if the Japanese, German and Italian navies remain as they are now, five years hence. It might also be possible if the into national situation remains as it is.
The Japanese, German and Italia navies, however. will grow. The international situation will change—it is doing so all the time. So it is safe to say that this American ambition will turn out to be only ese prejudice and powers,
States Navy. fighting force.
