Doubles Champions in Action

Gaining a comfortably easy victory in the finals of the men's doubles championships yesterday, Lew Carson and "Dud" Squires retained their doubles crown at the expense of V. T. Wang and Harry Li. The score, 6-4, 6-4, 1-6, 6-2, does not give a very fair indication of the play, which was inclined to be lack-lustre and devoid of thrills. The above photo shows Carson at the end of a difficult return, while Squires is seen in the background running to get into position near the base line.
