Sin—I would appreciate your kind permission to add my little voice in Support of your correspondent Cosmaon Cause.
Not that the big shots give two darns about us small fishes, seeing as how they come and go irrespective of "ofice hours," travelling in comfortable chauffeur-driven limou-
Sines or slaying in town for lunch at their super-de-luxe Clubs.
My office is at Peking Road, near the Bund, and T live at Route Prosper Paris. If T leave the office at 12 sharp, at 1210 Tam waiting at the French Bund and if I'm lucky to be able to squeeze myself into a No. 1 or No. 2 French Tram immediately, Td reach home at 1250. Twenty minutes for a wash and a hasty tiff and leaving the house at 1.10, T'd be back at the office at 2.00 sharp, all {hot and bothered and sleepy, trying to do my work for the benefit of the big shots who come in at 230 and who generally quit at 4.15 to rush off to their bowling, etc.
So how about it, you big shots and managers and tycoons? If only one of you would try the above routine for one week, I'm sure we'd be get ting the 8 to'l schedule, Shanghai, July 5.
