Approximately 200 persons were Killed and, injured when an express train bound for Shanghai from Nanking was.blown up shortly after 7 äm. on Thursday at Lungtang, re: Ported the "Chinese American Daily News" yesterday. It was said that a land mine exploded end that the train service was resumed only at Z pan. on the same day. The report @ave no details of the damage.
On July 7, the China war anniversary, and the next day, both the Shanghai-Nanking and Shanghai-Hangchow Railways were bombed or. the tracks were torn up no less than four times the same report stated. The track of the Shanghai-Nanking Railway was destroyed at four places on July 7 at 8 am. Repairs were effected quickly but damage was said to be great.
