World Domination

Mr, Richard Casey. the Australian Minister to Washington. has done the cause of Freedom good service in reminding those supporting it tha: Hitlers aim is world domination. The idea of world domination is so immense that it may well be doubted whether John Citizen is ficiently endowed with brains to comprehend it; it is beyond the scope of the average man's imagination, and therefore cannot be repeated too ofen. It is the truth. The Nazis have never been too shy to proclaim that the German "race" has been borne to rule the world—not just a section of the world, but the whole earth. In this conception there is no room for local hegemonies such as that the Japanese are at-temp*ng to bring into being in the Far East. There is no room for any rival or potential rival to the Nazis. even though the Nazis may for the present announce only limited ambitions in order to lull into false security those nations which are short-sightedly supporting them. If Hitler ever manages to realls his dream of complete domination over Europe and Africa, he will be immensely strong. And it is simply foolish for any nation to believe that he will not attempt to spread his dominion over wider areas, whether economically over the South American continent or by force of arms over Asia. It is the firm determination of the moeraci¢s and Soviet Russia to stop him from doing tis and those who are now straining every effort and every resource in the war against him. are confident that they will be successful. There should, however, be full realization of the importance. as well as the magnitude, of the task confronting. them. issue is such that there can be no compromise. Hitler has set in motion a great war machine in his own country, which he is now powerless to stop, even if he wanted to. Victories are the fuel upon which the machine is driven, and if it ig to be kept going, more and more victories must be fed to it. That is where it will eyentually break down. It has already shown signs of doing so. owing to the resistance put up by the British Empire and her Allies and by the Russians. But the task of smashing up this machine has only just begun; by time, thr resolution, and by. sacrifice the task will completed. Mr. Casey pointed out to his American audience the significance of the activities Nazis in South is used. better than when they are Weiss of the University of s another way of joining broken nerves. but he with amphi is the ticklish business of dealing with nerves which are sometimes only a tiny fraction of an inch in diameter.
