Dr. Evan Morgan

And Confucianism

To the Raltor of the "Nonmu-Cimva Dany News"

Sin—The letter of your corres. pondent who signs himself Saxancoro bays a tribute to Dr. Evan Morgan's Appreciation: of Confucian doctrine, but it is gadly misleading. in' the statement "that he would' put the letter (.e. Confucianism) tu the same category as the Christian doctrines." Intimate Imowledge leads me to say of Dr. Morgan that he never Iknowingly' placed. Confucian teaching ona evel, with that of Christ, He was oe devoted a servant of his Lord to do or say anything that would relegate Christ to. the position of. a mere teacher. To him, Christ "was the: Son of God and the Saviour of fine world. De, Morgan's regret. was that, Chinese students did not, even try to live up to the teaching of their own religions. At the same time It e's pleasure to realize that his wore is so highly appreciated by those who do not accept Christianity.
