Paper Hunt

Shanghai, Jon. 30

Although leading comfortably at the finish of yesterday's Hunt. Bagshot. ridden by "Nobby" Clark. peck= fed so badly at the last jump. that two other ponies were able to streak past and get home in front. Bue Moller on Saucylight came in first, with Duncan Fraser on Oft-Chance lose second.

'A. C. Yuan laid his frst hunt for the Club starting {rom the Monument. He took the fold over White Bridge Line to the Chipoo Creek Wade and then right-handed Canal Platform. This, as its name denotes. has to be made wide enough for boats to pass through and caused the hunt quite a litre trouble. From there paper lay over Jean's Sump to Cater's Corer," Brand's Gap and Brand Lino to Sinkaloong. 'A. check then took the Neld towards The General's Plunge. paper being found south of the Sinkaloong Road, leading back to the Chippo Creek.

The hunt ran off paper here but eventually picked It up over Brand's Essence and left handed towards Gulbertson's Chasm, After Sparke's Dip, a new platform in the creek of Peatce's Elbow took us eastwards to the Three Tree Wade. followed by nother small wade and a check. towards Yvonne Pollock's tine. We found again near Potter's Rubicon Platform and from there made our way to the wade in Potter's Line.

"Field Well Bunchea 'The whole field. as so often happens in "Y" hunts, was well bunched at this point and, galloping down Potter's Line, it appeared as though anyone of a' dozen could win. The run in lay over White Bridge Lino the monument the frush being at the 3rd Jump on Monument Lino.

Clark on Bagshot was leading comfortably at the last jump but pecked 0 badly that both Erie Moller and Duncan Fraser wore able to press him before he reached the flags. Every pony on the card could. in hunting elreles. be termed first-class and considering the difference in weight, Cornell Franklin was unlucky (0 nish seventh on Steve Brodie, thus Just missing his heavyweight.' This will probably be the Inst "Y" hunt Of the season and Stove Brodie has yet to qualify for the Challenge Cup-Speaking of the Challenge, Cup. it will be interesting to soe. how' Ba, shot jumps the course. Whilst he is class by himself as a. race pony. hie-can scarcely win unless he can be aught (0 jump freely.

The card read as follows:
