People who had neglected the warning to carry gas masks experienced an unpleasant surprise at the seaside resort of Brighton this morning.
Perambulating loudspeaker in the past two days warned residents to wear masks whenever an alert was sounded, and this morning tear gas in a mild form was liberated simul. taneously with an experimental alert.
The test was described as completely satisfactory. Police patrols and Workers, both indoor and outdoor, continued their normal activity ies.—Reuter.
