Coastal Command planes raided the docks at Calais on Sunday night, the communique said.
Aviation circles estimated that the majority of last night's bombers—possibly 70 per cent—was aimed at he main target, the Ruhr, while the remainder pointed for the "invasion" coast.
Adequate details of either operation were not available.
