IHE "Sassoons" of India and China received a verbal blast late yesterday from Senator Burton K. Wheeler, Democrat of Montana and staunch isolationist, as he fired verbal guns at the lend-lease bill during heated Senate debate.

Senator Wheeler launched a vitriol lic attack on the bill as supporters gathered more speakers in behalf of ihe administration effort to help Britain in her struggle against Germany.

"The American people," Senator Wheeler said, "were being lured tord disaster by "propaganda engineered by the same international bankers who got us into the last war.

"I hate Hitler and Hitlerism. Mussolini end Fascism, Stalin and Communism," Senator Wheeler declared, "I abhor intolerance and bigotry.

"I denounce political control by a financial oligarchy, whether by the Thyssens and Krupps of Germany or the Morgans and—Warburgs or other international bankers of the United States, the Rothschilds of Europe or the Sassoons of India and China," he said.

Enactment of the lend-lease Bill would empower President Roosevelt to "commit acts equivalent to a declaration of war including, firstly, seizure of German, Italian or Japanese merchant ships in our harbours; secondly, sending American merchant ships to belligerent ports, thirdly furnishing a haven for belligerent warships for repairs,"
