Sm—I can endorse CALEDONIA'S statements about the queer accents in which the local Voice of Democracy makes itself heard—they are so peculiar at times that one's only resource is tó switch.off the current.
'A friend of mine explained that the voices I heard were disciples of the Oxford Group, but I have since discovered from your columns that this latter is a Religious Sect, so I would still like to obtain information as to where these peculiar dialects actually derive their origin.
