With the advent of the swimming season, the Amateur Swimming Association held its annual general meeting at the Swimming Bath Club on June 23. Mr. S. E. Clark, the President, be/ng absent through sickness, Mr. W. J. Mockett took the Chair. Minutes of the last meeting were read and the Balance Sheet submitted and passed. The election of officers for the ensuing season then took place. Mr. W. J. Mockett, after a brief speech, proposed that Mr. J. W. Dearn be elected President, this was seconded by Mr. J. G. Grilk. Mr. J. W. Dearn then proposed Mr. H. Graham for the post of Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. W. J. Mockett seconding, this was duly approved.
Championship times clocked last year, were officially recognised. A number of the marks being shattered in the Ladies' Division.
The selection of sub-committees for water polo and trophies were considered, E.
Chanturai and B. Kazimiroff were nominated as the water polo sub-committee while J. G. Grilk was re-elected to head the trophies committee, assisted by R. Chaitan.
Applications are being sent to the members of the Association for entry án the water polo tournament, the entries for which w: ll close on July 7.
The following increases in the various fees of the Association will come into effect:—Affiliation fee per Club will be raised from C$15 to C$30.
Championship fee for individual entry per event C$1 to C$2.
Each Championship event held in a of Club.
Club pool will be assessed C$10 instead C35. per Club.
Five events ar more entered for the Championship from C$5 to C$10.

At the close of the Meeting the new president Mr. J. W. Dearn expressed the hope for the early recovery of the retiring president Mf. S. E, Clark who: s in hospital, and the sentiment was warmly endorsed by the meeting, and at the same time he thanked the outgoing committee for their services.
