From information which has appeared in the press from time to Hime, one would have read of the wonderful response which has been made by our compatriots at_home fo the appeal made by the British JGovernment during War Weapons Week, a response which has surpass-"anything ever thought possible, [but only made possible by the concentrated efforts of all participants that drive. The result of one week's effort in London alone, as mentioned by your chairman was a contribution to the extent of over £120,000.000, mostly investments in War Bonds, Savings Certificates and Post Office "Bonds.
No doubt a number of you personally know the response made by your own particular town or city, but T understand that even more than 120,000,000 was subscribed by other towns and cities outside of London, giving the very fine result of about The Shanghai War Savings Association is now asking you all to do your bit here.
