Lot of the Small Man

To the Editor of the "Nort-Cutva Day NEWS"

Sin—I would appreciate your kind permission to add my little voice in support of your correspondent Common CAUSE.

Not that the big shots give two dims about us small fishes, seeing jas how they come and go irrespec-{itive of "office hours," travelling in cÜmfortable chauffeur-driven limousines or staying in town for lunch at their super-de-luxe Clubs.

My office is at Peking Road, near the Bund, and I live at Route Prosper Paris. If I leave the office at 12 sharp, at 12.10 I am waiting at the {French Bund and if I'm lucky to be [able to squeeze myself into a No. 1 ler No. 2 French Tram immediately, ]I'd reach home at 1250. Twenty minutes for a wash and a hasty tiffin land leaving the house at 1.10, I'd be back at the office at 2.00 sharp, all hot and bothered and sleepy, trying to do my work for the benefit of the big shots who come in at 230 and who generally quit at 415 to rush off to their bowling, etc.

So how about it, you big shots and managers and tycoons? If only one for you would try the above routine \for one week, I'm sure we'd be get-}iting the 8 to 1 schedule.
