The cause of this sudden boom in stock that has for years been depressed owing to the mismanagement in the first two or three years of its existence was the report that sri arrange. ment had been come to by which the Wharf Ca. had agreed to take over the business of the Wanchai Warehouse and Ca, Subsequently it was reported that the arrangement had fallen through, hence the collapse.
