Without Prejudice

Sin,-—We enclose herewith copies of Letters which have passed between ourselves and your Surveyor and Assistant Secretary, from which it would appear that as we did not know of the issue of a new plan in 1898 nor indeed until our attention was recently drawn to the fact when we obtained a copy' at the end of last month, the Surveyor and Secretary intimate that the legal aspect of the case will alone be considered and we therefore beg the Council's perusal of the Letters and the following particulars.

Text read from the printed page and cleaned; old type leaves the occasional error.
