The long spell of dry weather was broken on the 2nd and 3rd instant and this morning by an abortive attempt at rain, which and quite failing to lay the dust has while adding nothing to the water supply rendered the atmosphere moist and muggy. Of really cold weather we have so far had nove though it is shade cooler this morning, with a chill dampness. Another depression is reported from Manila as existing in the Pacific, probably ES.E. of Luzon. I don't suppose we shall feel anything of it here,
