met on the 31st ultimo and resumed discussion on the Insanitary Properties Bill, and clauses 4, 5 and G were passed after considerable discussion. Clause 7 was allowed to stand over for further consideration, in order to allow members to make suggestions fat the next meeting, as was clause 8. Clause 9 was passed with a slight addition, and clauses 10 to 14 inclusive were passed as they stood. The Council then resumed, the Rating Bill was read a third time and passed, and the Council adjourned to the 18th instant.
