In consideration of our ill health, we are now compelled to command that' the otixities usually observed by the Im-Uke Conit'* vangdves the old year New Year celebrations, shall" on the present occasion be suspended. But the solemn ceremony of offering our New Year allegiance on the first day of the month will be observed; on_which occasion we shall head our Princes, Nobles and high Ministers and proceed to the "Summit of Imperial Supremacy" Throne hall to offer our dutiful allegiance to Her Majesty the Empress Dowager.
