Life Insurance and Volunteering

To the Editor of the "Nortu-Cinsa Darcy News."

Sin,—With regard to the letter signed *Vohinteor" in your issue of 17th instant, 1 think it should' be clearly detined, by the companies taking Life Risks here, how Volunteers, who may be called upon te take active part in the defence of the settlements, really stand with regald to their policies in the event of any fatalities occur Ting in the execution of their duty.

There should be no shiily—hotlying on this question. No putting off on account of a telegram sent a fortnight azo to which answer has yet been received, or which it is stated no reply has yet been made to.

Let us know definitely our position that we may tike steps accordingly, and know what Life companies we can depend upon we do the fair thing, and what not.

Phe importance of the above in the present cannot be exnguerated.
