Under this heading there is, as usual, but little of note to chronicle in this season. The most interesting event was the arrival on the 4th inst. of the British flagship Glory with Vice-Admiral Sir Cyprian Bridge on board, from Amoy, where she put in on her way down from the North on request, but finding all quiet at that port, continued her voyage to Hongkong. The British hospital ship Carthage arrived on the 4th inst. fom Shanghai, and left again on the 7th inst. for Calcutta. "The Austrian cruiser Zenta went for a cruise to Canton on the 5th inst., but returned again on the 7th inst., and on that day left, in company with the battleship Kaiserin Elisabeth, once more; this time for Europe. The British sloop Phenix arrived here on the 9th inst, from Yokohama, Hongkong, 10th August.
